Summer Solstice

The Earth tilts forward
As far as it can go.
Changing my relationship to the Sun,
Changing my moods,
Driving the seasons and the weather.

There are things and powers
Greater than I in this Creation,
On this 3rd stone from the Sun.
But isn't it a miracle
That life exists at all?

Not too hot
Not too cold
The air just right
(sometimes at least!)
The days just long enough

Life goes on in this creation.
Isn't it a miracle?
